It is currently 20 degrees with winds of 1-5 miles per hour at the summit out of the south. With the new snow overnight and cold temps this morning, the corduroy is firm with compacted soft snow underfoot, with some wind-blown coverage and accumulations in the glades and off-piste runs. A perfect way to spend Wednesday on the mountain with family and friends!
Up top, visibility is unlimited and the forecast is for variable winds, so layer up and be prepared to shed as the day progresses. UV lenses, sunscreen, and hydrate!
It’s a great day to cruise, settle into a rhythm, and enjoy the softer snow on groomed terrain.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Wednesday, February 25th. It is currently 20 degrees with winds of 10-15 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting one inch of new snow and a settled base of 33 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We continue to ski on the top half of the Thunderhead side, skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Ticket prices are just $39 on Wednesdays and Thursdays when you purchase them ONLINE.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
