Lesson Tips for Success
- Plan to arrive an hour before lessons start in order to have ample time to prepare, especially when needing to rent or adjust equipment.
- Wear layers for varying temperatures and tall socks for skiing if you have them – wool socks work best for wicking moisture and helping to keep feet comfortable and dry.
- Keep hand warmers in your bag for extra cold days.
- Use the bathroom and get a drink before gearing up – putting on gloves, helmets, etc.
For Kids
- Put out layers the night before in order of what goes on first, second, and so on.
- Have a bag with special snacks and extra necessities ready to go.
- Make sure food is in a place where kids can access snacks during breaks in the lodge.
- Make it FUN and low-stress! Hot chocolate and an outing on the mountain is always a treat and will help kids want to come back again.
