It is currently 26 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the north under blue bird skies with unlimited visibility. With 70% open terrain across the Crystal, Thunderhead, Olympic, and the Magic Carpet lifts, expect a well-groomed base of packed powder with a smooth and confident feel right from the first chair- snow conditions will soften as the day progresses, especially on the runs with direct sun exposure. This will also soften up the off-piste conditions making the glades and open terrain spring-like, a great day for UV lenses, layers, hydration and getting your laps in!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Saturday, February 28th. It is currently 24 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the west-southwest and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 32 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, Crystal, and Olympic lifts in operation.
Crystal Country is open today with mostly ungroomed terrain. We are also skiing to the bottom on the East side of Thunderhead. Expect ungroomed terrain and some thin cover. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Multi-week programs for the month of March will close after this weekend, REGISTER ONLINE to catch the final session.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Crystal lift is scheduled to operate from 9 AM to 3 pm
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $60 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Save $10 when you purchase online and in advance.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
