It is currently 25 degrees at the summit under blue bird skies with unlimited visibility, and scant winds out of the south at 0-5 miles per hour. We’re underway with a fine set of groomed runs off of Thunderhead, Olympic, and the Magic Carpet – fast and firm packed powder this morning that will soften as the day progresses and your favorite runs will achieve a sugary, warm and surfy consistency across the groomers and glades. Reporter’s choice this morning are Radar and Lakeside. Sunscreen, UV lenses, and smiles across the mountain today as we wrap up the weekend!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Sunday, March 22nd. It is currently 24 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 30 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We are skiing on the top half of the mountain today, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Blacktail Mountain has a new RFID system, pick up your new card at the ticket office today.

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Crystal lift is scheduled to operate from 9 AM to 3 pm
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $65 for Adults (25-69), $55 for Young Adults (18-24), $50 for Teens (13-17), $40 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
