It is currently 41 degrees at the summit with light winds of 6-9 miles per hour under clearing skies with unlimited visibility. Early runs on Lakeside and Emmons Ridge found consistently fun, controllable turns in softening snow textures on well-structured corduroy. Off-piste snow is still sticky – so cruise the groomed runs until later this morning when the warming temperatures soften up the open terrain. Enjoy the official first day of spring!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Friday, March 20th. It is currently 38 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 40 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We are skiing on the top half of the mountain today, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Richard Barrett will be in Muley’s Bar this afternoon as our Mountaintop Music series continues. Ladies join in our Summit Sisters clinics offered every Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm.

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $55 for Adults (25-69), $50 for Young Adults (18-24), $45 for Teens (13-17), $40 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
