It is currently 34 degrees at the summit under immaculate blue skies and calm winds peaking at 2 miles per hour. We have warmed up on the mountain, and conditions are becoming spring-like with soft, corn snow on the exposed slopes and open areas, with groomed corduroy runs along the tree lines staying a comfortable carving consistency. Get up here and enjoy the snow, views, and the positive, friendly vibes!

It is currently 29 degrees with light variable winds of 2-5 miles per hour out of the north under blue bird skies and unlimited visibility. Reporter’s choice for runs this morning are Meadow and Lakeside off of Thunderhead, Cold Camp off of Olympic. The snow has settled into a softer, sugary feel with firmer conditions in the shaded, multi-pitch aspects of the mountain. Expect warming temperatures today with softening snow into spring-like consistencies in the late morning. A noon update will follow today.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Sunday, March 1st. It is currently 26 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 31 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, Crystal, and Olympic lifts in operation.
Crystal Country is open today with mostly ungroomed terrain. We are also skiing to the bottom on the East side of Thunderhead. Expect ungroomed terrain and some thin cover. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Montana March begins today! For the month of March, we offer discounted lift tickets to season pass holders from all over the state. Provide proof of your season pass at a Montana ski area for a reduced rate for the entire month of March.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Crystal lift is scheduled to operate from 9 AM to 3 pm
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $60 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Save $10 when you purchase online and in advance.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
