It is currently 30 degrees at the summit with winds of 4-7 miles per hour with limited visibility of 200 yards. Crystal County is open today with a fresh groom on West Ridge and full visibility with soft, smooth snow. The remaining runs are un-groomed with packed and loose powder.
Break below the summit to mid-way station for Thunderhead and Olympic runs and the wind subsides with improving light and visibility, and supportive groomed corduroy runs. Off-piste will soften as the day progresses, but expect a firmer crust off-trail in the morning until temperatures warm. Layer up, enjoy the day.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Saturday, March 7th. It is currently 28 degrees with winds of 10-15 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is at 300 yards. Groomers are reporting a skiff of new snow and a settled base of 33 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, Crystal, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We are skiing on the top half of the mountain today. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Crystal Country is open today, expect ungroomed terrain and some thin cover.
Tomorrow is our annual Seuss Scavenger hunt! Dust off your striped hat and elephant ears if you’ve got them and come join in the fun!

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Crystal lift is scheduled to operate from 9 AM to 3 pm

- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $60 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.

- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
