It is currently 23 degrees at the summit under bright blue skies with unlimited visibility and light winds out of the south at 2-3 miles per hour. The new snow overnight has set up a fresh layer over a well-groomed base of packed powder across the upper mountain this morning with Radar, Emmons, and Badrock being reporter’s choice. Polished corduroy, untracked glades, and soft pockets in the trees are a great way to kick off today – don’t forget your sunscreen and UV lenses! Expect the snow to stay firm this morning with these colder temperatures and soften by the early afternoon, a high temp of 34 degrees is forecasted – a morning of powder skiing paired with a sugary snow in the afternoon – classic springtime conditions!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Friday, March 6th. It is currently 21 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting two inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and a settled base of 33 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We are skiing on the top half of the mountain today. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Radio Ranch will be in Muley’s Bar this afternoon as our Mountaintop Music series continues. Ladies join in our Summit Sisters clinics offered every Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $65 for Adults (25-69), $60 for Young Adults (18-24), $55 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
