It is currently 16 degrees at the summit with light winds of 1-3 miles per hour with visibility at 200 yards due to ongoing snowfall. We are underway with fresh powder conditions and 7″ of light, cold smoke overnight across the mountain with accumulations on top of groomed runs to the bottom of Thunderhead, Crystal, and Olympic lifts.
This is cold, blower powder at 16 degrees with light winds, so come on up and enjoy a March powder day to kick off your weekend! Reporters choice today is Damnation and Lakeside, and everything in between!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Friday, March 13th. It is currently 18 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is at 200 yards due to continuing snowfall. Groomers are reporting seven inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and a settled base of 38 inches. We will be sliding today on powder, packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, Crystal, and Olympic lifts in operation.
Crystal Country will be open today as well as some of the lower mountain on Thunderhead. Yesterday’s windstorm has left us with some cleanup on the slopes, terrain will be opened as clearing is complete. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
New RFID cards will rollout today, pick up your new cards at the ticket office before hitting the slopes.
Wildwind Due will be in Muley’s Bar this afternoon as our Mountaintop Music series continues. Ladies join in our Summit Sisters clinics offered every Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm.

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $55 for Adults (25-69), $50 for Young Adults (18-24), $45 for Teens (13-17), $40 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
