It is currently 30 degrees under blue skies with variable winds out of the north from 10-14 miles per hour and unlimited visibility. Drop below the summit and winds subside, and the snow is consistently softening on the groomed runs and off-piste. Expect to approach wind-blown areas with some drifting accumulations, and adhere to closed trail signs and marked terrain hazards. Switch out to those UV lenses, apply some sunscreen, hydrate, and enjoy the afternoon on Blacktail!

It is currently 25 degrees under overcast skies with light winds of 4-6 miles per hour out of the north, with unlimited visibility. Groomers have completed 11 runs overnight, wrapping up this morning on Cold Camp which will have the softest snow this morning. There are packed powder conditions on the groomed runs off of Thunderhead and Olympic, and in the glades & off-piste, which will expand your options and offer wind breaks. The light is on the flat side, so clear lenses to start the day, but trust in the feel of the snow – it’s firm on top but comfortably soft on carve, and enjoy a great start to a busy weekend and the end of February! Reporters choice today is Lakeside and Bedrock.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Friday, February 27th. It is currently 25 degrees with winds of 10-15 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 32 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
The east side of Thunderhead is open to the bottom, this terrain is ungroomed with some thin cover. Please ski with caution and obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Joe Martinez will be in Muley’s Bar this afternoon as our Mountaintop Music series continues. Ladies join in our Summit Sisters clinics offered every Friday afternoon at 1:30.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $65 for Adults (25-69), $60 for Young Adults (18-24), $55 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
