It is currently 37 degrees at the summit with winds of 0-5 miles per hour with unlimited visibility under high clouds. Reporter’s choice this morning is Emmons Ridge, with consistent corduroy grooming. Springtime conditions mean firmer snow in the morning at the top, and softening as the day and elevation lowers, progressing into slidy, sugary-textured easy carving conditions. Start off the day with clear lenses and layers, the light is flat and there are areas of variable coverage to pick out as you descend. See you up here!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for closing day, Saturday March 28th. It is currently 38 degrees with winds of 5-10 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 30 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We are skiing on the top half of the mountain today, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety. We are looking at some classic spring conditions this morning and looking forward to corn snow when the sun rises.
Today is packed with fun and festivities! It’s Mamma Mingo day, where we celebrate the season with a fantastic scavenger hunt out on the slopes. Telefestivus is happening at the summit, Rocky Mountain Outfitters will be here with 22 Designs and Scarpa to Demo all day today. Blacktail Mountain has a new RFID system, pick up your new card at the ticket office today. Come and join us as we celebrate the season!

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Crystal lift is scheduled to operate from 9 AM to 3 pm
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $65 for Adults (25-69), $55 for Young Adults (18-24), $50 for Teens (13-17), $40 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
