It is currently 30 degrees with light winds of 2-4 miles per hour out of the south. Since our last report this morning, we have accumulated 2 inches of new snow over a base of packed powder. It’s set up a soft & dense layer over a well-groomed base this morning, smoothing out turns and giving classic springtime vibes. Improving visibility from the top down, but stick with the clear lenses today until sight lines improve.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Wednesday, March 4th. It is currently 32 degrees with winds of 5-10 miles per hour out of the west, visibility is at 500 yards and it is currently snowing. Groomers are reporting a skiff of new snow and a settled base of 30 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
Patrol will assess the lower mountain on the east side of Thunderhead this morning, if we are able to open it, this terrain will be ungroomed with some thin cover. Please ski with caution and obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.

- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
