It is currently 27 degrees with variable winds out of the South at 1-5 miles per hour. The fresh snow we received overnight has smoothed slope conditions out across the hill and making for great carving runs and opportunities to sneak into the trees for fluffy powder turns. Head for the glades where some wind-blown accumulations will ski like more than we received, and get there early – with unlimited visibility it’s a sunscreen day and UV lenses.
It’s a great day to cruise, settle into a rhythm, and enjoy the softer snow on groomed terrain and powder turns off-piste!

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Monday, February 16th. It is currently 25 degrees with winds of 5-10 miles per hour and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting 2 inches of new snow since our last report and a settled base of 28 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We continue to ski on the top half of the mountain, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Join our Patrol for a Luau at the bottom of Olympic today! The annual Luau and raffle will wrap up in Muley’s bar this afternoon with live music from Radio Ranch.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $60 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Save $10 when you purchase online and in advance.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
