12:55 PM Conditions Update | Derek Young

We have regained our blue skies, and staying steady at 11 degrees and light winds. Enjoy the views!

11:45 AM Conditions Update | Derek Young

It is currently 11 degrees with winds out of the north at 3 miles per hour. Since the last report, we’ve seen increasing snowfall across the mountain and visibility remains good under cloudy skies. New snow is filling in on the runs, expect variable accumulations throughout the afternoon and switch out to clear lenses to improve clarity in the flat light.

10:00 AM Conditions Update | Derek Young

It is currently 10 degrees with variable winds from 2-5 miles per hour out of the north. The new snow overnight has set up a fresh layer of cold smoke over a well-groomed base this morning, with wind-driven snow accumulations above the boot tops in the trees off-piste. Reporters choice this morning is Radar and Bedrock, with others receiving a crisp groom early this morning before the snow fell, so you’ll find softer conditions with a solid base prevailing across the mountain. The sun is out, the snow is fresh and bountiful, and it’s a great start to the weekend!

Good Morning Snow Riders,

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Friday, February 20th. It is currently 12 degrees with winds of 5-10 miles per hour and visibility is at 100 yards. We continue to ski on the top half of the mountain, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety. We continue to assess the lower mountain as conditions improve.
