It is currently 26 degrees with unlimited visibility and blue bird skies across the mountain, with winds of 7-12 miles per hour out of the north. The snow conditions under the full sun are softening the terrain, with shaded aspects firming up but consistently holding and carving well. Open glades and un-groomed terrain continue to hold turns and offer up some early springtime-like conditions. Enjoy!

It is currently 20 degrees at the summit with variable winds out of the west from 5-10 miles per hour under overcast skies with unlimited visibility. The snow conditions are soft and sugary, with firmer surfaces on the groomed runs and some remaining drifting accumulations off-piste. Drop below the summit and the winds subside, and the mountain opens up terrain wise. The light is flat due to the clouds, so clear lenses will help you pick up the terrain changes. We have opened up additional runs off of Thunderhead, with ropes still posted indicating entry gates and conditions. Please obey all closure signage and watch for terrain updates at the lift stations on the mountain.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Thursday, February 26th. It is currently 20 degrees with winds of 10-15 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 33 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
The east side of Thunderhead is open to the bottom today, this terrain is ungroomed with some thin cover. Please ski with caution and obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.

- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
