Due to the extremely cold temperatures and for the safety of our staff and our guests, Blacktail will be closed today. We will look to reopen Wednesday, January 17th, for daily operations. If you have made a purchase for today, Monday, January 15th, you can change the date for your lift ticket or rental online through your account. Temps have actually dropped in the last 30 minutes and it is currently -17 degrees. For the safety of our staff and guests, Blacktail will delay opening today until 10 am as conditions allow. Updates will be posted here.
Good Morning Snow Riders,
I want to thank everyone who came out for opening day yesterday, it was great so see you all up there making turns! It is currently -13 degrees with light winds and unlimited visibility. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 16 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Olympic and Thunderhead lifts in operation with lifts spinning from 9 am until 4 pm. Thunderhead lift is open to the midway station today and early season conditions do exist. Expect to see thin coverage and some obstacles. Remember that all ropelines and closures are in place for your safety. We expect temperatures to rise with the sun today; but it will be cold so please dress appropriately and do not leave skin exposed. Blacktail will be closed this Tuesday and resume our regular operations schedule this week of Wednesday through Sunday. We will continue to open more terrain as conditions allow.

- The Olympic Chair and Thunderhead Chair to midway are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm
- Ticket prices are discounted to $65 for Adults (25-69), $60 for Young Adults (18-24), $55 for Teens (13-17), $45 for Children (8-12), $45 for Seniors (70+). **pricing reflects limited lifts and terrain

- Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Grades season passes are just $10
- Muley’s Bar & Grill (10:30am-5pm), open with a limited food menu
- Mighty Bites Cafe (8am-3pm), open for brown bag dining and a limited food menu
- The Blacktail Trading Co. & Blacktail Bean Coffee shop will be open 8am-5pm
- The rental shop will be open from 8am-4pm
- Snowsports Lessons will be available on a limited basis
