OLYMPIC, THUNDERHEAD TO THE MIDWAY, AND THE MAGIC CARPET ARE SPINNING.
After experiencing complications and closures this morning on lifts at separate times we are happy to announce that Olympic, Thunderhead to midway, and the Magic Carpet are all in operation at this time.
**OPERATIONS UPDATE 10:30 AM**
We are currently experiencing complications as a result of last week’s storm. Our mountain operations and maintenance teams are actively working through these issues.
The safety of our guests and staff is always our top priority, and we appreciate your patience as we take the time needed to address these concerns.
At this time, THUNDERHEAD CHAIR IS ON HOLD. We will continue to provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Thank you for your understanding!
Good morning Snow Riders,
This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for OPENING DAY: Wednesday, December 24th. It is currently 32 degrees with winds of 10-15 miles per hour and visibility is unlimited . Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 19 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with The Magic Carpet, Olympic, and Thunderhead lifts in operation.
We will be skiing on the top half of the mountain today, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Crystal Country and additional terrain will open as soon as conditions permit. Early season conditions exist, please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Blacktail will close early this Christmas Eve with lifts spinning until 2 PM. Today, we begin seven-day-a-week operations, continuing through Sunday, January 4th for the holiday. Please note that on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25th, the ski area will open a little later with lifts spinning from 11 AM to 4 PM. On all other operating days during this period, lifts will spin from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 2pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $55 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12),$10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders, and $40 for Seniors (70+).
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-3 pm, the Grill 10:30-2 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-2 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-2 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 8:30 am-2:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson.
