Good morning, due to unsafe conditions on the road, Blacktail will be closed today. We received rain on top of snow last night and the road is extremely icy. The safety of our staff and guests is always our first consideration. Refunds will be issued for any advanced purchases made for today and we will be back tomorrow for seven days a week through January 4th.

It’s the morning of Christmas and on Blacktails slopes, not a creature is stirring at least not for while.
Lifts will spin later today, our crew will be here to greet you with a smile.
Groomers are laying down tracks with great care, knowing snow riders soon will be there.
They told me there’s no new snow this morn though NOA is calling for a Christmas night storm
Winds are at 10-15 blowing through the trees, the temperatures sitting now at 31 degrees.
Lifts will spin today from 11 until 4 so our crew and your families can snuggle in a bit more.
This Christmas morning, we wish you good cheer and hope to see you on the slopes at Blacktail plenty this year!
We will be skiing on the top half of the mountain today, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Crystal Country and additional terrain will open as soon as conditions permit. Early season conditions exist, please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Blacktail will open a little later this Christmas with lifts spinning from 11AM – 4 PM.We are now open seven-days-a-week through Sunday, January 4th for the holiday.

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 11am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $55 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12),$10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders, and $40 for Seniors (70+).
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am – 5 pm, the Grill 11 – 4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 11 am – 4 pm.
- The Ticket Office will be open from 10:30 am – 4 pm.
- The Rental Shop will be open from 10:30 am – 4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 11 am – 4 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson.
