Good Morning Snow Riders,
This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Thursday, January 8th. It is currently 16 degrees with winds of 10-15 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting 1 inch of new snow and a settled base of 30 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with all lifts in operation.
Crystal country is open today! We continue to ski on the top half of the east side of the mountain, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station, we continue to assess that terrain daily and will open it as soon as conditions allow. Early season conditions exist, please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
It’s Thrifty Thursday today, ski all day for just $39! We have returned to our regular season operations with lifts spinning from 9 am until 4 pm Wednesday, through Sunday.

Daily Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Crystal lift is scheduled to operate from 9 AM to 3 pm
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Ticket prices are are $39 on Thursdays when you purchase them ONLINE
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
