Good Morning Snow Riders!
This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for opening day, Saturday December 10th. It is currently fourteen degrees with winds of 5-10 miles per hour and unlimited visibility. Groomers are reporting in this morning with a skiff of new snow and a settled base of 24 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Thunderhead and Olympic lifts, and Mighty-Might tow in operation.
Save some time by purchasing your tickets and rentals online! We we be open this Saturday and Sunday for opening weekend with lifts spinning from 9 am until 4 pm. Blacktail will be closed from the 12th through the 15th and then open for operation again December 16th.

Opening Weekend Details
- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and Mighty Might Handle Tow are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Ticket prices are discounted to $65 for Adults (25-69), $45 for Young Adults (18-24), $35 for Teens (13-17), $25 for Children (8-12), free* for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Grades, and $30 for Seniors (70+) to reflect the limited opening of chairlifts and terrain.
- *$5 one-time charge for Lift Access Card
- Save $10 when you purchase online and in advance.
- Muley’s Bar & Grill (10:30 am-5 pm), the Blacktail Cafeteria (8 am-3 pm), and the Blacktail Bean Coffee shop (8 am-5 pm) will all be open.
- The rental shop will be open from 8 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 8 am-5 pm.
- Snowsports Lessons will be available on a limited basis. Please check in at the Ticket Office on the mountain prior to 9:15 am each day to sign up for a lesson.
