It is currently 42 degrees with variable light wind out of the SSE at 1-2 miles per hour.
Up top, visibility is unlimited and skiing conditions over groomed corduroy are holding. The snow is fast and firm, with morning runs on Emmons Ridge, Lakeside, and Snowslip providing predictable carving turns and views for miles. Expect the snow to soften up as the day progresses and the off-piste will provide fun turns. It’s a great day to cruise, explore, and stack some fast laps. Sunscreen, the right lenses, and layers for a classic Blacktail day.

Good Morning Snow Riders,
This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Wednesday, February 4th. It is currently 32 degrees with winds of 5-10 miles per hour out of the west and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 25 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We continue to ski on the top half of the mountain, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
Blacktail is now offering a mid-week win on Wednesdays! We are currently offering Thrifty Thursday rates on Wednesdays, ski all day for just $39 when you purchase your lift ticket ONLINE.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Ticket prices are are $39 today when you purchase them ONLINE
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
