It is currently 36 degrees with winds of 4-5 miles per hour out of the North North West. Under blue bird skies, the snow conditions are steady and holding, with softer, sugary snow found on Radar. Meadow and Lakeside are firmer and tracking carved turns off of Thunderhead. Expect Olympic runs to hold firmer throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to stay in the upper 30’s to low 40’s, mild winds on top, and an increasing chance of overcast skies in the afternoon.
We’re hosting the Family Ski Cup on Upper Meadow so please respect signage and watch for timers and participants. Please, do not walk out onto the course to observe and follow all Skier’s Code guidelines.

This is Jessi with your Blacktail Mountain Report for Saturday, February 7th. It is currently 32 degrees with winds of 0-5 miles per hour out of the and visibility is unlimited. Groomers are reporting no new snow and a settled base of 23 inches. We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet, Thunderhead, and Olympic lifts in operation.
We continue to ski on the top half of the mountain, Thunderhead skiers and riders will load at the midway station. Please obey all ropelines and closures they are in place for your safety.
It’s Winterfest in Lakeside! Join us at Blacktail for the annual family cup race. Registration is available ONLINE as well as in the cafeteria from 9 until 10 AM.

- The Olympic Chair, Thunderhead Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Daily lift tickets and rentals are available to purchase ONLINE. Save time and money by creating your account and making purchases on our e-store.
- Tickets today are $75 for Adults (25-69), $65 for Young Adults (18-24), $60 for Teens (13-17), $50 for Children (8-12), $40 for Seniors (70+), and $10 Season Pass for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders.
- Save $10 when you purchase online and in advance.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria) will be open 8 am-4 pm.
- The rental shop will be open from 8:30 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9:00 am-4:30 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
