Thanks to the amazing team here, we have completed the install of a new motor on Thunderhead and it is now open to the public to the Mid way station. Come on up and enjoy some Christmas turns.
Twas the morning of Christmas, and on Blacktails Slopes, Groomers reported an inch of new snow.
They lay down courderoy tracks with precision and care, knowing Snow Riders soon would be there.
Temperatures read 21 degrees with light winds of 0-5 blowing from the NorthEast.

We will be sliding today on packed powder and machine groomed runs with the Magic Carpet and Olympic lifts in operation. Please note that the Crystal and Thunderhead lift will not operate at this time. Our dedicated maintenance crew is working tirelessly behind the scenes to repair the motor on Thunderhead and have that lift ready for operations as soon as possible. - The Olympic Chair and the Magic Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm.
- Early season conditions exist. Be aware of your surroundings, proceed cautiously, and respect all rope lines and trail closures as they are there for your safety.
- Season Passes and daily lift tickets are available to purchase ONLINE. Save money and time at the ticket office by creating an account, purchasing RFID cards and day lift tickets or passes in advance online.
- Tickets today are $55 for Adults (25-69), $50 for Young Adults (18-24), $45 for Teens (13-17), $40 for Children (8-12), free* for Tiny Tots (7 & under) and 5th Graders, and $35 for Seniors (70+).
- Save $10 when you purchase online and in advance.
- Muley’s Bar will be open 10:30 am-5 pm, the Grill 10:30-4 pm, Mighty Bites Cafeteria and Blacktail Bean (located in the cafeteria will be open 8 am-4 pm)
- The rental shop will be open from 8 am-4 pm.
- The Blacktail Trading Co. retail shop will be open from 9 am-5 pm.
- Snow Sports Lessons are available at the window 30 minutes prior to the start of the lesson and there is availability online for future dates.
