New Carpet Lift Installed At Blacktail!
December 2023 – We are excited to announce that a new conveyor surface lift, or “Magic Carpet,” has been installed in the Never-Ever Land beginner’s area. The installation of the carpet lift marks the first new lift to be installed at Blacktail since opening in 1998.
Our Mountain Ops team has worked hard this off-season, and we are thrilled to announce that our Mighty-Mite Handle Tow has been replaced with a “Magic Carpet”. This is a major upgrade to our learning area where we build skiers and snowboarders each day we operate.
This new addition to our beginner area provides an even better learning environment for students of all ages, both skiers and snowboarders. Carpet lifts are easier to load than handle tow lifts and will have kids and adults alike even more excited to get on the snow this coming season. The Magic Carpet will make first-time lessons much easier to navigate, particularly for our youngest skiers and snowboarders who can struggle initially holding on to the handle tow.
The new “Magic Carpet” will replace the previous Mighty-Mite Handle Tow in the Never-Ever Land beginners area this season, but we plan to reinstall the Handle Tow at some point in the future.
