The community of Lakeside is Blacktail's home. Located at the base of the mountain, it is only a 14 mile drive from the town of Lakeside to the Blacktail Lodge. Lakeside looks out over Flathead Lake--the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Lakeside has many places great for eating and sleeping after a day on the slopes. The town of Somers is located between Lakeside and Kalispell on the shores of Flathead Lake. Somers is a short drive from the ski slope and offers excellent accommodation and dining options. |
